Our Case for Support
In 2025, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Plattsburgh YMCA provided more than $227,000 in financial assistance—an increase of $27,000 over 2024—ensuring that no one is turned away because of an inability to pay.
Your support drives impact across the YMCA’s core focus areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Donor-funded assistance gives children a safe place to learn and grow, helps individuals and families build lifelong habits for physical and mental wellness, and ensures access to critical aquatic programs that teach lifesaving skills in our lake community. It also makes affordable child care possible—supporting working families and strengthening the economic stability of our region.
Across Clinton, Franklin, and Essex Counties, 43% of households experience financial hardship, according to the United Way’s A.L.I.C.E. report. Because of you, the Plattsburgh YMCA remains a welcoming, inclusive community partner—committed to ensuring all families have the opportunity to belong, thrive, and succeed.
