Jordynne Ales
Personal Trainer
Jordynne Ales completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fitness and Wellness Leadership at Plattsburgh State University where she played on the Varsity Volleyball team. She then transitioned into the role of Assistant Volleyball Coach/Fitness Center Manager and became an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In 2021, she joined the EDGE Sports and Fitness as the Personal Training/Parisi Speed School Director. During her time with Parisi Speed School, Jordynne taught young athletes speed and strength mechanics, including acceleration/deceleration, cutting/maneuvering, plyometrics, and age appropriate strength modalities. All together, she has experience working with children, teens, collegiate athletes, and adults. Jordynne was drawn to the YMCA's community driven mission and is specifically excited to work back in her hometown of Plattsburgh. She enjoys playing in adult volleyball leagues, coaching youth volleyball, and spending time on Lake Champlain in her free time.

Zach Surles
Personal Trainer
Zach Surles is a certified Personal Trainer with 15 years of self-training and 2 years of professional experience. He specializes in strength and conditioning, mobility for all ages and teaches acceleration, top speed mechanics, and multi-directional speed for athletes. Zach is former infantryman with a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, skiing and riding his motorcycle through town. He is an aspiring Olympic athlete and previously competed for Team USA in bobsledding. Zach’s passion is helping others to achieve their fitness potential and goals. He loves helping others and is looks forward to helping you!

Enjoy all the benefits of personal training, but in a small, supportive group of friends! Small group personal training creates a fun and motivating environment. The small size of the class participants and trainers get to know one another, and are able to provide the support each person needs. Leave each class confident that you are working towards your goals. It's scientifically proven that working out in a group makes it easier to stay accountable, and create lasting habits.
