Camp Ampersand Returns for the 2023 season!
Camp Ampersand will be held at Petrova Elementary School in Saranac Lake, NY!
Camp is open to children ages 5-12, & to the residents of Saranac Lake and surrounding areas!
Camp Ampersand contains 8 Weeks of STEM/STEAM, Arts & Crafts, Physical Activity, Education, Exploring, Socializing, Challenges, and More!
Saranac Lake Central School District Camp Discount
It is with great enthusiasm that the Malone YMCA, in cooperation with the the generous support from the Saranac Lake School District, Harrietstown and the Town of St. Armand, students living in the Saranac Lake Central School District can attend Camp Ampersand during summer 2023 for just $80.00 per week.
“We can’t say enough about how excited we are to be able to offer this discount” said Justin Ihne, CEO of the Plattsburgh/Malone YMCA. “The generosity of the Saranac Lake Central School District, Harrietstown and the Town of St. Armond is overwhelming”.
According to YMCA Board of Directors President Kim Manion, “Campers in the YMCA summer camp systems participate in a wide variety of activities that promote physical activity, social and emotional health, sustainability and STEM/STEAM.” Manion continued, “And, they have a great time!”
“The District is thrilled to help provide families with a fantastic summer child care option and students with a summer of daily enrichment activities” Said Diane Fox, Superintendent of Schools for the Saranac Lake Central School District, “We prioritized the use of Federal COVID funding to address learning gaps and are grateful to be able to stretch the funding even further by partnering with the YMCA and our local communities”.
